There will be homework Monday-Thursday night.
Please read your child's agenda as their homework will be written in there every day.
Every night, students are expected to read 30 minutes. This needs to be logged and signed by a parent and returned on Friday morning. A form will go home with students the first week of school with the first due date on it.
Students are also expected to be studying their vocabulary and spelling for the week in addition to their written homework.
ELA homework is assigned in conjunction with our daily lesson. It will be the comprehension skill, grammar, or questions related to the story. This is always reviewed with the class before it is sent home. The expectation is that the student completes the homework. If they have difficulty, I ask that a parent attach a note to the homework explaining why it was incomplete and I can then review it with the student in class. Sometimes, writing or social studies may be assigned instead.
